Nigerian Election - Keeping Track of News and Events

Posted on 16:32 by Unknown
En Français

At Google, we realize that the Internet is a powerful source of information, and information is especially important when a country comes together to participate in the electoral process. As the Nigerian elections get underway, we’ve put together an election information portal with several resources to help track the election and surrounding events.

The page includes links to:
  • Elections Search Trends - showing what people are searching for as far as presidential candidates and issues important to them during the election
  • Map of Polling Stations (compiled by INEC) - view the location of your polling station
  • Curated Media - Along with our partner Storyful we have created a You Tube channel with a curated list of relevant videos and a media map of reports from various media sources.
  • View relevant news links via Google News.

We hope that the elections page will be a useful resource, and an important step towards better access to locally relevant information in Africa.

Do visit the site, share your content with Storyful, share the link, and exercise your right to vote!
